FAMU, which is well-known for its diverse student body and vibrant campus culture, provides a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and other degree programs in addition to sports programs. FAMU’s athletic teams, the Rattlers, represent the school’s competitive attitude in games and play in the NCAA Division I MEAC. The team’s fierce and serious demeanor is reflected in the moniker “Rattlers,” which pays homage to the college’s rattlesnake mascot.
